Job summary

Woopel is seeking a Librarian in Nizwa, Oman to join our library team. You will manage the collection, catalog materials, assist patrons with research, and promote library services within the community.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, at least two years of library experience, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Accommodation is provided with a full-time schedule Sunday to Thursday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting.
• Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the library's collection by selecting, acquiring, and processing materials.
• Organize materials according to standard classification systems.
• Assist patrons with research inquiries and reference needs.
• Promote library services through outreach programs and events.
• Maintain accurate records of circulation statistics and other relevant data.
• Train and supervise library staff as needed.
