Librarian - Khasab, Oman

We are in search of an experienced Librarian to join our team in Khasab, Oman. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection and providing research assistance to patrons. Your main goal will be to promote a love for reading and learning within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
• Develop and implement library policies and procedures
• Assist patrons with finding and utilizing resources for research purposes
• Provide guidance on information literacy and research skills
• Plan and facilitate library programs and events for all ages
• Collaborate with teachers to support the school curriculum
• Manage the library budget and make purchases for new materials
• Supervise library staff and volunteers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in a library setting
• Knowledge of library cataloging systems and computer applications
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with a diverse community
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic is preferred but not required

Salary: The salary for this position is 1300$ per month.
