Qualifications

Master's degree in Accounting is required for Lecturer rank.
Desirable: professional qualifications and/or memberships of recognized bodies.
Fellowship of the HE Academy or willingness to work towards within 18 months.
Minimum: at least two years teaching Accounting in Higher Education.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Plan, construct and assess student assignments.
Liaise with the Faculty Director on student matters and timetable support.
Advise students as a Personal Tutor/Advisor.
Engage in research and scholarly activity with publishing in refereed journals.
Engage with external bodies and industry for student enrichment and placements.
Participate in University committees and events; support flexible working patterns.
Organise industry speaker outreach and facilitate industrial placement where appropriate.
