Qualifications

Job Title: Lead Engineer – Piping

Role Overview:

The Lead Engineer – Piping will be responsible for overseeing the complete design and engineering of piping systems for offshore and onshore projects. This includes leading a team of engineers and designers, ensuring compliance with international standards, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions within budget and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers in executing basic and detailed piping engineering work for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Take full responsibility for design deliverables, technical documentation, and coordination with procurement and construction teams.
  • Ensure compliance with tender specifications, quality standards, and international codes (e.g., API, DNV).
  • Conduct contract reviews and guide the development of Technical Document Registers (TDRs).
  • Supervise the design of subsea pipeline systems including route optimization, mechanical design, stability analysis, and corrosion protection.
  • Oversee the design of submarine cables including route selection, crossing design, and stability analysis.
  • Prepare design basis documents, technical specifications, data sheets, alignment sheets, and integrity calculations.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to junior engineers.
  • Define engineering standards and contribute to software evaluations and process improvements.
