Job summary

TradesApp seeks an experienced Laundry Equipment Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-capacity commercial laundry machinery. The role demands strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with industrial laundry systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect and repair washer extractors, dryers, steam-operated equipment, and control panels, and diagnose faults to keep machines running reliably.

Qualifications

• Diploma or trade certificate in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial or industrial laundry equipment maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with high-capacity steam-operated and electric laundry machinery.
• Knowledge of automated laundry-machine controls and electrical systems.
• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and breakdown repairs on commercial laundry equipment.
• Service washer extractors, tumble dryers, dry-cleaning machines, shirt presses, blanket folders, ironers, and garment-finishing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, steam-system, and control-panel faults.
• Inspect machine components and replace defective parts when required.
• Troubleshoot automated control panels and machine operating systems.
• Identify spare-parts requirements and report recurring equipment failures.
• Maintain tools and equipment and complete assigned repairs independently.
• Follow established hygiene, operational safety, and maintenance procedures.
