Job summary

NovaMart Procurement in Salalah, Oman, is seeking a Junior Merchandiser to support senior merchandisers in product planning and development. You will conduct market research, manage supplier relationships, and help ensure on-time delivery while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires English fluency and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. Previous merchandising experience is advantageous but not required. Accommodation is provided as part of the contract.

Junior Merchandiser

We are hiring for the position of Junior Merchandiser in Salalah, Oman. As a Junior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for assisting the senior merchandisers with product planning, developing and implementing strategies, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

This is a contract job with a salary of 1600$ per month, along with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities

• Assisting senior merchandisers with product planning and development
• Conducting market research and analyzing industry trends
• Creating and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Managing inventory levels to ensure on-time delivery of products
• Coordinating with production teams to monitor progress and resolve any issues
• Assisting in the negotiation of pricing and terms with suppliers
• Tracking sales performance and making recommendations for improvements
• Maintaining accurate records of orders, shipments, and inventory levels
• Providing support for any ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned by senior merchandisers

Requirements

• Pakistani nationality preferred, but open to all nationalities
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
• Previous experience in merchandising or a similar role is an advantage but not required
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
