Job summary

Qureos in Muscat, Oman is hiring junior and senior technicians to maintain and repair cold rooms, blast chillers, ice machines, compressors and commercial refrigeration systems. The role includes preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and timely repairs in a fast-paced environment.

Experience ranges from 2–4 years for juniors to 5+ years for seniors, with emphasis on refrigerant handling, brazing, leak testing and electrical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/trade certificate in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience for junior level; 5+ years for senior level.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, refrigerant charging, brazing, leak testing and electrical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of compressors, evaporators, condensers, defrost systems, temperature controllers and control panels.
• Senior candidates should have team coordination or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair walk‑in cold rooms, blast chillers, ice machines, compressors and control panels.
• Perform refrigerant charging, leak detection, vacuum testing and brazing.
• Troubleshoot thermostats, sensors, and defrost systems.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure proper operating conditions.
• Record completed work and report recurring faults.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and complete repairs within required time.

Junior and Senior Levels | Muscat, Oman

We are hiring junior and senior technicians to maintain and repair cold rooms, freezer rooms, blast chillers, ice machines, compressors, and commercial refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on cold-room and refrigeration equipment.

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults.

• Maintain and repair:

  • Walk-in cold rooms and freezer rooms

  • Blast chillers and blast freezers

  • Refrigerated cabinets and table chillers

  • Ice machines

  • Compressors and condensing units

  • Evaporators and condenser coils

  • Refrigeration racks and control panels

• Perform refrigerant charging, leak detection, vacuuming, pressure testing, and brazing.

• Troubleshoot thermostats, temperature controllers, sensors, expansion valves, solenoid valves, and defrost systems.

• Monitor equipment performance and ensure correct operating temperatures.

• Replace defective components and identify required spare parts.

• Respond to emergency breakdowns and complete repairs within the required time.

• Record completed work and report recurring equipment faults.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.

• Follow safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality procedures.

Requirements:

• Diploma, ITI, or trade certificate in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering

• Junior: 2–4 years of relevant experience

• Senior: 5+ years of relevant experience

• Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, refrigerant charging, brazing, leak testing, and electrical troubleshooting

• Knowledge of compressors, evaporators, condensers, defrost systems, temperature controllers, and control panels

• Senior candidates should have team coordination or supervisory experience

• Catering, food production, hospitality, cold-storage, or facilities-management experience is preferred
