Job summary

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years experience in oil & gas or LNG projects.
• Proven experience as Instrumentation Superintendent or Senior Instrument Supervisor during precommissioning and commissioning.
• Hands-on site experience on large EPC projects and LNG facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise PCC field activities and coordinate with procedures and schedules.
• Direct instrument technicians, supervisors and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure readiness for precommissioning, commissioning, startup and operation.
• Oversee instrument installation checks, loop checks, functional testing and calibration.
• Coordinate with construction, electrical, automation, operations, HSE, QA/QC.
• Support DCS/ESD/PLC testing with vendors and commissioning engineers.

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate instrumentation PCC field activities in line with approved procedures and schedules
• Manage and direct instrument technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors on site
• Ensure instrumentation systems are ready for:
  • Precommissioning
  • Commissioning
  • Startup and initial operation
• Oversee execution of:
  • Instrument installation checks and verification
  • Loop checking and functional testing
  • Cause & effect testing
  • Instrument calibration and validation
  • Control valve testing and stroking
  • Analyzer installation and commissioning
• Verify mechanical completion (MC) status and ensure punch list closure for instrumentation scope
• Coordinate daily activities with construction, electrical, automation, operations, HSE, and QA/QC teams
• Support DCS, ESD, F&G, and PLC testing in coordination with vendors and commissioning engineers
• Ensure strict compliance with:
  • PTW systems
  • SIMOPS requirements
  • HSE procedures and risk assessments
• Monitor field progress, productivity, constraints, and safety performance
• Report daily and weekly status to the Instrumentation Lead / Commissioning Manager

Mandatory requirements (strict)

Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or related discipline

Experience
Minimum 12 years experience in oil & gas or LNG projects
Proven experience as Instrumentation Superintendent or Senior Instrument Supervisor during precommissioning and commissioning phases
Strong hands-on site experience on large EPC projects
Extensive exposure to LNG or gas processing facilities
Candidates without direct site supervision responsibility in PCC phases will not be considered.

Strong practical knowledge of:

• Loop checks, cause & effect testing, calibration, and valve testing
