Job summary

Downe House Muscat invites applications for an outstanding Maths teacher to join our dynamic department. You will deliver high‑quality maths lessons across the secondary range, including IGCSE and A Level, with scope to contribute to curriculum development and leadership within the department.

The role requires strong subject knowledge, a commitment to student welfare and safeguarding, and the ability to engage with students from diverse international backgrounds in a British international

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in maths or a relevant subject.
• Postgraduate Certificate of Education (or equivalent).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching IGCSE and A level is desirable.
• Experience working with students who have English as an additional language (EAL).

Responsibilities

• Teach maths to a broad secondary age range delivering high‑quality lessons.
• Teach IGCSE, A Level and Omani GED with training provided where needed.
• Differentiate to support all learners and stretch the most able.
• Use assessment data to track progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Contribute to curriculum development and participate in the school’s co‑curricular programme.
