Job summary

Müller’s Solutions is seeking a Data Catalog Specialist for a part-time, 3-month contract. You will manage and maintain the organization's data catalog, ensuring accurate metadata for data assets and enabling better data discovery, governance, and usage.

You will collaborate with various teams to support data-driven decision-making. The role requires hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC (EDC/Data Catalog), strong metadata management fundamentals, and the ability to work with

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data management tools, with hands-on Informatica IDMC (EDC/Data Catalog)
• Experience with Secure Agent installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of metadata management, lineage, and data governance concepts
• Experience integrating with Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop/Cloudera, or cloud data platforms
• Familiarity with role-based access control and enterprise security standards
• Ability to work with infra teams on network, firewall (port 443), and deployment architecture

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Informatica IDMC Data Catalog (EDC) in client environment (Dev & Prod)
• Configure Secure Agent setup (on-prem / cloud) with high availability considerations
• Establish connectivity with data sources (RDBMS, data warehouse, data lake)
• Perform metadata ingestion, lineage extraction, and profiling setup
• Configure business glossary linkage and Critical Data Elements (CDEs) onboarding
• Align configurations with security, access control, and data classification policies (NDMO)
• Support validation and optimization of catalog performance and scanning schedules
