Job summary

Work corp's luxury hotel in Nizwa seeks a talented Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team, overseeing desserts, pastries and breads for the restaurant, banquets and room service. You will set the pastry programme in line with the hotel's culinary concept and seasonal menus.

You will develop innovative recipes, train and mentor junior pastry chefs, supervise production and inventory, ensure cleanliness and high standards, and collaborate with chefs on event menus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Pastry Chef or similar role.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and trends.
• Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and innovative pastry recipes for desserts, pastries and breads.
• Train and mentor junior pastry chefs in techniques and menu items.
• Oversee production for all outlets including restaurant, banquets and room service.
• Ensure inventory control and ordering of ingredients.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen.
• Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus for events.
