Job summary

Omanyp, a global industrial organisation, seeks a Global Tax VP to steer worldwide tax strategy, governance and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Based in Oman, the role partners with executives to guide tax planning for M&A, audits, and regulatory changes, while driving value through optimized tax positions and robust reporting. You will mentor a multinational tax team and influence strategic decisions across the business.

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Proven expertise in global tax strategy and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of international tax regulations and reporting standards.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global tax strategies in alignment with the organisation's objectives.
• Ensure compliance with international tax regulations and reporting standards.
• Lead tax planning initiatives to optimise the company's tax position.
• Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to address tax-related queries.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
• Oversee tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities.
• Provide strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
