Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction aligned with ABQ’s curriculum and educational philosophy.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in accordance with school expectations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to enhance student learning.
  • Integrate digital tools and resources, including the ABQ 1 1 Chromebook Programme.
  • Participate in professional development and school enrichment activities.
  • Uphold and model the ABQ values of respect, integrity and excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 4 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual setting.
  • Cambridge Curriculum preferred.
  • Strong command of English, spoken and written.
  • Competence in using technology as a teaching tool.
  • A passion for innovative teaching and student success.
  • Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Professional Preferences
  • Experience with Cambridge International and/or UK Curriculum.
  • Experience with Oman MoE GED curriculum.
  • Previous teaching experience in the Middle East.
  • Additional certifications in education technology or inclusive education.
