Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Khasab, Oman. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will also be responsible for managing a team of junior accountants and providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and perform bank reconciliations
• Supervise a team of junior accountants and provide training and support as needed
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
• Conduct regular audits to identify potential errors or discrepancies
• Prepare financial reports for management meetings and provide insights on financial performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or finance roles (experience in a supervisory role preferred)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) and MS Office applications (especially Excel)
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Hindi/Urdu is a plus
