Job summary

An international oilfield services company seeks a Field Service Manager - Directional Drilling to be based in Nizwa, Oman. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Directional Drilling/MWD. Responsibilities include coordinating equipment, ensuring quality and safety standards, and preparing various reports. Applicants must have excellent communication skills in English and thorough technical knowledge of DOWNHOLE tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in Directional Drilling/MWD.
• Understanding of computer applications within the proposed job environment.
• Ability to generate clear and concise reports in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Work with management to plan quality objectives.
• Coordinate equipment and personnel for job completion.
• Prepare equipment/tools for shipping.
• Prepare various reports including revenue and equipment reports.
• Attend client-based morning calls and provide onshore support.
• Comply with all QHSE policies and procedures.

Skills

Excellent communication in English

Leadership and organizational skills

Technical knowledge of DOWNHOLE tools

Ability to multitask under pressure

Education

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
