Overview

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you are the face of the hotel’s dining experience. You will be responsible for delivering warm, attentive, and personalized service across the hotel’s restaurants, bars, lounges, and in-room dining. The ideal candidate is passionate about guest satisfaction, well-groomed, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests warmly and ensure a smooth and efficient seating process.
  • Present menus, provide detailed information on menu items, specials, and promotions.
  • Take and serve food and beverage orders promptly and accurately.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout the meal.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a positive, friendly demeanor.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas and dining spaces (e.g., mise-en-place).
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met in dining and service areas.
  • Operate POS systems for order entry and billing.
  • Assist in opening and closing duties including cash handling, cleaning, and restocking.
  • Support other outlets and banquet operations as required.
  • Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
  • Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations (local and international standards).
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol according to Omani law and hotel policy.
  • Work closely with kitchen, bar, and stewarding teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Attend departmental briefings and training sessions.
  • Report maintenance or safety issues to management immediately.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel, restaurant, or upscale hospitality environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and carry trays/plates.
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail and high level of cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
