Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Associate to join its MENA Tax - Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) team in Oman. You will support complex engagements and contribute to the growth of our GCR practice, focusing on tax services and reporting for multinational clients.

You'll work with cross-border teams, manage engagements, and help ensure adherence to EY Tax Quality guidelines while developing junior team members in a dynamic, multi-cultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, taxation or related field.
• MBA or professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in domestic and international tax rules/regulations, ideally in a large professional services firm.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax services and assist in client compliance and reporting.
• Manage day-to-day engagements, monitor progress and enforce EY Tax Quality guidelines.

The opportunity

EY is seeking a Senior Associate to join our GCR team, where you will support complex engagements and contribute to the growth of our GCR practice.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will combine strong technical skills with practical commercial, legislative, and industry knowledge to assist in providing tax services. You will help manage our clients compliance and reporting needs. You will establish, maintain, and strengthen valued internal and external relationships and ensure that the services delivered to clients are of the highest quality.

You will assist in the day-to-day management of client engagements, monitor progress and deliverables, put in place the necessary standardized processes, anticipate and identify risks, elevate issues as appropriate, and support performance-improvement solutions. You will work with high-performing teams and contribute to a positive learning culture, supporting junior team members in their development. You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to our Tax Quality guidelines.

If you are an excellent communicator and detail-oriented professional with a strong track record of teamwork who is comfortable working across borders with a wide network of people and with large amounts of data, you will be perfect for the role.

Qualification And Experience

• A bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, taxation, or any related essential fields.
• MBA, master's or another related advanced degree and/or professional qualifications e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent qualification.
• A very strong knowledge and minimum of 1-2 years of experience in domestic and international tax rules/regulations, developments, etc, ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment. A strong background in tax accounting and tax auditing, ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment.

Ideally, you will also

• Have experience of dealing with multinational clients and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. In-depth commercial, legislative, and industry knowledge.
