Head Chef
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in Muscat. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, from menu planning and food preparation to staffing and budget management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design menus that meet the preferences and dietary needs of our customers.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels and ordering of supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen at all times.
- Monitor food costs and work within budget constraints while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with management to create new dishes or modify existing ones based on customer feedback or seasonal availability of ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to business needs.
- Creativity and innovation in menu planning and dish development.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
