Job summary

A global engineering firm in Oman is seeking an Engineer - Sub-Contracts to manage subcontract agreements and ensure compliance with local laws. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in engineering and has over 5 years of experience in offshore fabrication or oil & gas projects. Responsibilities include coordinating with teams, processing invoices, and overseeing compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, production, etc.).
• 5+ years of experience in planning within offshore fabrication or oil & gas projects.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review technical proposals and support commercial and technical bid evaluations.
• Process subcontractor invoices for payment.

• Oversee subcontractor quality assurance and HSE compliance.

Job Description

• Coordinate with planning and production teams to ensure subcontract activities meet project schedules and deliverables.
• Prepare and process LOI, PR, PO, and manage subcontract agreements, including change orders, claims, and contractual correspondence.
• Review technical proposals, obtain approvals for deviations, and support commercial and technical bid evaluations.
• Process subcontractor invoices for payment in line with contract terms and company procedures.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with Oman Labour Law, insurance requirements, and Workers’ Compensation Policy (WCP).
• Monitor subcontractor performance through evaluation, KPI tracking, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Oversee subcontractor quality assurance, HSE compliance, and support final accounts, retention release, and project closeout.
