Job summary

Masakien Al Amna requires a Site Electrical Engineer for Oman/Dubai with 5–8 years of experience in construction and MEP projects. You will supervise daily electrical installation activities at the project site, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and project schedules while coordinating with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years of relevant site experience.
  • Experience in LV/MV electrical systems and installations.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily electrical installation activities at the project site.
  • Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project schedules.
  • Read and interpret electrical layouts, SLDs, load and cable schedules.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, civil/MEP teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare MIRs, IRs and technical submittals.
  • Monitor progress and ensure safety compliance on site.

Job description

Job Title: Site Electrical Engineer Location: Oman / Dubai, UAE Industry: Construction / MEP / Infrastructure / Industrial Projects Experience Required : Min 5-8 Years ( Indian Experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage daily electrical installation activities at the project site.
  • Ensure electrical works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project schedules.
  • Read and interpret:
    • Electrical layouts
    • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
    • Load schedules
    • Shop drawings
    • Cable schedules
    • Equipment specifications
  • Supervise installation of:
    • LV/MV electrical systems
    • Power distribution systems
    • Lighting and emergency lighting
    • Cable trays and conduits
    • Distribution boards and MCCs
    • Earthing and lightning protection
    • Generators and transformers
    • Fire alarm and ELV systems
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, civil/MEP teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Inspect materials delivered to site and verify them against approved material submittals.
  • Prepare and submit Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Inspection Requests (IR), method statements and technical submittals.
  • Monitor manpower, materials and equipment required for electrical works.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and identify installation defects or non-conformities.
  • Ensure electrical works comply with applicable local authority requirements, project specifications and safety standards.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and architectural activities.
  • Assist in cable testing, insulation resistance testing, continuity testing and other electrical tests.
  • Support testing, commissioning, energization and project handover.
  • Troubleshoot electrical installation problems and provide practical engineering solutions.
  • Maintain as-built drawings, inspection records, test reports and other project documentation.
  • Ensure proper implementation of HSE requirements, permit-to-work procedures and electrical safety practices.
