Job summary

The Sultan's School in Oman seeks an enthusiastic Male PE Teacher & Sports Coordinator for January 2027. The role combines secondary PE teaching with coordinating and developing the school's competitive sports programme across Primary and Secondary.

You will teach ~16 PE periods weekly and coordinate fixtures, tournaments, school teams and events, while promoting student sporting achievement and leadership alongside the Head of PE.

Qualifications

• A relevant Bachelor's degree and recognised teaching qualification.
• At least two years' post-qualification teaching experience.
• Secondary PE teaching experience.
• Ideally some coordinating or leading sport in your school.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the wider life of the school.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate participation in Muscat Primary and Secondary Sports Leagues.
• Organise fixtures, tournaments and the school sporting calendar.
• Support and develop school teams and sporting ECAs.
• Organise school sporting events and competitions.
• Develop opportunities for international sporting tours and tournaments.
