Job summary

India Abroad is hiring a Contract Librarian for our Salalah library in Oman. You will catalog and classify materials, answer reference questions, and help patrons locate resources. The role requires prior librarian experience, strong organizational and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.

This is a short-term contract with a monthly salary of 1100 USD and accommodation provided for the duration. Immediate start is preferred for this position in Salalah.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a librarian.
• Proficiency in using library management systems.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Fluency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
