Siemens Energy, Inc. seeks a Commercial Project Manager (CPM) to support the AGORA ERP rollout within Gas Services Distributed in Oman.

The role starts with ERP deployment and transitions to commercial execution across service lines, including long-term contracts, M&U, repairs, and field services. You will manage financial KPIs, FRG/IFRS compliance, risk and contract management, and act as a data steward to enable a smooth ERP implementation and future CPM operations.

Qualifications

Degree in business/finance or equivalent with CPM certification.
Experience with ERP/SAP implementations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Drive ERP implementation and system optimization aligned with CPM goals.
Manage financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow across projects.
Ensure FRG and IFRS compliance and robust internal controls.

A Snapshot of Your Day

This position is created to support the AGORA ERP implementation within Gas Services Distributed in Oman, with a strategic plan to transition the resource into a permanent Commercial Project Manager (CPM) vacancy to retain critical system and business knowledge. Operating within the Gas Services Distributed Finance CPM organization, the role initially will focus on ERP system deployment then will transition to commercial execution in all service lines; long-term service contracts, M&U, Repairs, complex Spare Parts deliveries, Field Services. To address this dual-phase objective, the role focuses on ERP implementation and system optimization, comprehensive financial project management, and risk, contract, and stakeholder management.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Manage and optimize financial KPIs for actuals, budget, and forecast, including revenue, cost, gross profit, and cash flow. Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG), transfer pricing, tax regulations, and internal controls (LoA, NCM).

Actively performs asset management, initiates invoicing according to project progress and contractual terms. Ensure payment is received on time and allocated properly.

Perform project forecasting, local and WTW reporting, involve offshore CPM organization. Manage project guarantees, bonds and project insurance as well as foreign currency risks in alignment with hedging guidelines

Act as a key user and data steward to support the smooth and successful implementation of AGORA/S4E Unify ERP systems in the Commercial Project Management domain.

Retain and document system knowledge gained during ERP implementation to facilitate a smooth transition into standard CPM operations.

Collaborate with the Project Manager to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and opportunities. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, and offshore teams, to ensure commercial alignment.

What You Bring

University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent qualification and Certified Commercial Project Manager (CPM) for Category C Projects

ERP/SAP implementation experience

Commercial Project Management experience

Strong background in financial reporting guidelines (FRG) and IFRS, project forecasting, budgeting and reporting, asset and cash flow management, as well as transfer pricing and tax compliance.

Experience in data stewardship and key user support, proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), and expertise in ERP/SAP implementation.

Expertise in contract and claim management, risk and opportunity management, as well as foreign currency hedging and risk mitigation.

Strong analytical and numerical skills, effective stakeholder management and communication abilities, as well as problem-solving skills and adaptability.
