Job summary

LanceSoft Middle East is seeking a nurse to join Rehabilitation Centre, Ministry of Social Development in Oman. The role provides safe, basic nursing care to residents with disabilities under supervision of a registered nurse.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, support mobility and other daily tasks, while maintaining infection prevention and patient safety standards in a busy care setting.

Qualifications

• Dataflow verification for Qualification, License and Experience completed.
• No Prometric examination is required.
• Attendance and passing MOH Viva examination is mandatory.
• Immediate joiners will be given preference.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, basic nursing care to residents with disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and feeding.
• Assist nurses in care of residents with physical and cognitive disabilities.
• Measure and record vital signs as trained.
• Assist with positioning, turning, mobilization and transfers.
• Maintain hygienic patient environment and bed making.
• Provide mobility support with wheelchairs, walkers and other aids.
• Assist with meals, hydration and feeding as directed.
• Care for residents with urinary catheters, tracheostomy, PEG tubes under supervision.
• Observe changes in condition and report to Staff Nurse.
• Support pressure injury prevention and skin checks.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Assist in emergency situations and follow protocols.
• Maintain infection prevention and PPE practices.
• Ensure resident comfort, dignity, privacy and safety.
• Support rehabilitation activities as instructed by nurses and therapists.
• Contribute to a safe and clean patient-care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and feeding.
• Assist nurses in providing care to residents with physical and cognitive disabilities.
• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure, as trained and authorized.
• Assist with positioning, turning, mobilization and transfer of residents.
• Assist with bed making and maintaining a hygienic patient environment.
• Provide support for residents requiring wheelchair, walker or other mobility assistance.
• Assist with meals, hydration and feeding as directed.
• Assist in the care of residents with urinary catheters, tracheostomy, PEG tubes and other medical devices under nursing supervision, within approved scope of practice.
• Observe residents for changes in physical or mental condition and promptly report abnormalities to the Staff Nurse.
• Assist with pressure injury prevention, including regular repositioning and skin observation.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided.
• Assist nurses during emergency situations and follow emergency protocols.
• Maintain infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene and appropriate PPE.
• Ensure residents' comfort, dignity, privacy and safety at all times.
• Support rehabilitation activities as instructed by nurses and therapists.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean patient-care environment.
• Follow institutional policies, procedures and resident safeguarding requirements.
