Job Summary

We are seeking a results-oriented Assistant Product Manager with proven expertise in the Air-conditioning and Home Appliances sector. The ideal candidate will lead the product strategy, brand management, and sales development for multiple categories and brands ensuring consistent growth in revenue, profitability, and market share.

This role requires a dynamic professional with a blend of analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities someone who can drive go-to-market (GTM) strategies, optimize pricing and promotions, and enhance brand visibility across multiple channels (OR, IR, Corporate, and Projects).

Key Responsibilities
Product & Business Strategy
  • Develop and execute annual product and sales plans aligned with organizational goals and brand strategies.
  • Ensuring profitability, cost control, and effective inventory management.
  • Formulate and implement GTM strategies for multiple sales channels to enhance product visibility and sales conversion.
  • Conduct product benchmarking and competitive analysis to ensure category leadership in pricing, features, and value proposition.
Sales & Promotion Management
  • Design and execute sales promotion schemes for both Organized Retail (OR) and Independent Retail (IR) channels.
  • Track and analyze promotion effectiveness using data-driven insights to refine future campaigns.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure promotional alignment with product positioning and brand guidelines.
  • Drive initiatives that improve sell-through rates and minimize dead stock through targeted channel strategies.
Market Research & Product Development
  • Lead market intelligence activities to identify new trends, customer needs, and emerging product opportunities.
  • Liaise with principal, vendors and factories for new product introductions, feature development, and lifecycle management.
  • Develop product roadmaps and ensure timely execution of product launches, price updates, and specification alignment.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to ensure alignment of demand, supply, and promotional objectives.
  • Support A&P (Advertising & Promotion) budget planning, tracking, and evaluation.
  • Lead internal communication and training for sales teams to ensure strong product knowledge and consistent messaging.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Analyze post-launch performance, market share, and profitability metrics to assess success and identify improvement areas.
  • Prepare monthly business review reports, sales reports, and competitor tracking updates for management.
  • Use analytical tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SAP to deliver actionable insights and decision support.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Mentor and guide junior product, marketing, and sales support teams to enhance overall capability and performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration across departments.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's/ Master’s Degree in Commerce, Marketing, or Business Administration
  • 10+ years of experience in Product/Category Management within the Air-conditioning or Home Appliance sector.
  • Proven success in managing brands
  • Strong understanding of GTM strategies, pricing, promotions, and channel management.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP, MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
