Job summary

Te Kura O Otangarei in Northland is seeking a passionate kaiako for a Level 3 Reorua Māori class (Years 5–8). You will promote Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga, foster a love for learning, and contribute positively to the school's kaupapa.

This full-time fixed-term role runs from early 2027 through 17 December 2027 to cover study leave, with responsibilities across English, health and PE, mathematics, science, social sciences, te reo Māori and the arts to support learners and whānau.

Qualifications

• Experience as kaiako for Year 5–8 desirable.
• Ability to promote Te Reo Māori and tikanga in daily teaching.
• Commitment to school kaupapa and student well‑being.
