Job summary

Fletcher Building in New Zealand is hiring for a Yard and Drive Thru Customer Service role. You’ll be part of a small team of 8, serving customers, loading and unloading products onto vehicles and trucks.

This is a permanent full-time position, offering 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays. A clean Class 1 licence and forklift licence are preferred though not essential; we value safety, accuracy and teamwork within our diverse, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in a retail/yard environment.
• Basic computer and numeracy skills.
• Clean Class 1 driver licence; forklift licence preferred but not essential.
• Physically fit and safety‑conscious.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers within the timber yard and Drive Thru.
• Loading goods onto customer vehicles.
• Processing customer orders and transactions.
• Picking orders for delivery when needed.
• Monitoring inventory and cycle counts.
• Maintaining an efficient warehouse.
• Operating a forklift.
