A local educational institution in Otago is seeking a qualified mathematics acceleration teacher for a fixed-term role. The position is 0.7 FTE, running for 36 weeks, starting in term 1 of 2026. Thank you for your interest in this fixed term part‑time 0.7 FTE (36‑week) position as a mathematics acceleration teacher at Cromwell College, commencing at the beginning of term 1, 2026. Fixed term 0.7 FTE for 36 weeks, commencing by week 3 of term 1, 2026. This is a fixed term Ministry of Education funded position.
The teacher will work in three 12‑week blocks with 6 small groups of students. There are 3 hours allocated to each group, including four 30‑minute sessions and 1 hour for preparation. This equates to 18 hours a week during term time. The teacher is also paid over the term 1, 2 and 3 holiday periods.
