Job summary

Escape Rentals, a New Zealand campervan hire company, invites an automotive technician to join the Christchurch branch on a full-time basis.

You will perform servicing, repairs, and Certificate of Fitness tasks, with a focus on reliability and quality, and contribute to a small, hands-on team.

Applicants should have at least two years in automotive work, a valid driver's licence, and a readiness to learn and adapt in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified automotive technician.
• At least two years experience in an automotive environment.
• Full valid driver's licence.
• Ability to work unsupervised and meet quality standards.
• Follow instructions and complete tasks as directed.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical servicing and repairs to the fleet according to company guidelines.

• Complete daily tasks in a timely manner.
• Work as part of a team to achieve productivity targets.
• Assist with upkeep and cleaning of branch sites.

Key responsibilities

• Mechanical servicing and repairs to the fleet to the stipulated standards as per company guidelines
• Implementing a preventative maintenance programme which improves the reliability of our vehicles
• Certificate of fitness work
• Interior refurbishment of campers
• Tyre changing and wheel balancing
• Ensure all assigned daily tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Work as part of the team to achieve productivity targets
• Assisting with the upkeep and cleaning of the branch sites and premises

About you

• Fully qualified automotive technician
• At least two years experience working in an automotive environment
• Full valid driver's licence
• Ability to work unsupervised
