A family support service is seeking a Women's Programme Facilitator in Palmerston North to co-facilitate programmes, conduct assessments, and support individuals and families. The ideal candidate will have a background in human services, especially in counselling, and a strong ability to build relationships. This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday, with a focus on empowering vulnerable individuals and families.
At Te Manawa Family Services we work with men, women, young people, children and families, helping them break the cycles of violence and abuse; helping them towards changed lives. There’s no shame, no blame – and no excuses. It’s about rebuilding relationships. It’s about restoring trust and respect.
Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for a Women’s Programme Facilitator to join our team.
As Women’s Programme Facilitator, you will co‑facilitate group programmes, undertake assessments and reviews, and provide individual, and whānau support as required. You’ll take a holistic approach to the role, and understand that at its core, it’s about relationships. This will be your standout quality/skill.
We’d love it if you had a social worker qualification, and ideally registration with a professional body. At a minimum, you will need qualifications in some kind of human service (counselling). You’re supporting vulnerable people, so you need to know what you’re doing!
We’re a small but mighty team of 18 and we’re diverse in more ways than one. We genuinely care about the wellbeing of our team and are committed to social work pay equity bands. We know you’re worth it.
This role is permanent full‑time, 37.5 hours p/w, Monday‑Friday. Hours are 9am – 5pm. Afterhours sessions on as needed basis.
Please note: This role involves working with tamariki and is classified as a core children’s worker role under the Children’s Act 2014. The successful applicant will need to complete the required safety checks before starting.
Applications will be reviewed as they’re received. With both the RYHR and TMFS office closed over the holiday period, onsite interviews are expected to take place in the new year.
