Job summary

Fisher Funds seeks an experienced Wealth Adviser to join our Hamilton team, helping Waikato families achieve their financial goals through personalised advice and trusted relationships.

You'll manage a client portfolio, identify opportunities in investment solutions, and contribute to community engagement to grow our presence across the region. A NZ Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 or higher is preferred.

Qualifications

  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 (Investment Strand) or working towards completion.
  • Experience in financial advice, wealth management, banking, investments, or related client-facing financial services role.
  • Strong relationship management skills and a passion for helping clients achieve their goals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities that create value for clients and the business.
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong organisational skills.
  • Established Waikato connections or enthusiasm for local community.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining a portfolio of clients through tailored, goals-based financial advice.
  • Helping clients navigate key life events and changing financial priorities.
  • Developing trusted, long-term relationships that support client retention, referrals, and growth.
  • Identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships across Fisher Funds' investment solutions.
  • Partnering with Corporate Account Leads and regional team members to convert opportunities into lasting client relationships.
  • Building your profile within the Waikato community through networking, events, and relationship-building activities.
  • Staying up to date with investment markets, industry developments, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional client outcomes.

You'll also play an important role in growing our client base through referrals, community engagement, and strong client outcomes.
