Job summary

Stantec's Water team in New Zealand seeks a BE Civil Engineer or equivalent with experience in general civil engineering, especially Water infrastructure, to join our Auckland multi-disciplinary group. You will collaborate with senior and rising specialists, applying technical knowledge while growing your commercial understanding through 2–3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• BE Civil Engineer or equivalent with experience in general civil engineering projects, especially Water infrastructure.
• Experience in site visits, field investigations and feasibility studies.
• Ability to produce calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Strong communication with clients and other design disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, field investigations and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
• Produce calculations, specifications and drawings to ensure that technical design will provide the appropriate solution.
• Work effectively with other design disciplines, local and global, to deliver projects on time, on budget and to appropriate quality.
• Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required.
• Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material as required.
• Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality, Safety & Environment Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
• Minimise and control risk by commitment to the Stantec Quality, Health & Safety programmes and ensuring proactive use of our project management systems.
• Other duties as reasonably required
