Job summary

Woolworths Group in Canterbury is recruiting a Warehouse Operator for our Distribution Centre to pick orders and keep Woolworths New Zealand Supermarkets stocked. You will work with motorised pallet trucks and voice-picking systems to fulfil store orders efficiently.

Starting pay is NZD 32.06 per hour, increasing to NZD 35.30 after 26 weeks. This role suits physically fit, safety-minded team players who can pass background checks and a medical assessment.

Qualifications

• Ability to pick orders accurately in fast-paced warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with voice-picking systems and pallet trucks preferred.
• Safety-conscious with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders for store replenishment using voice picking and motorised pallet trucks.
• Maintain stock accuracy and ensure shelves are stocked for customers.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a efficient warehouse workflow.

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

Working as a Warehouse Operator in our Distribution Centre you will join a large team responsible for picking orders to keep our Woolworths New Zealand Supermarkets stocked and our customers happy!

Starting rate of pay is $32.06 p/h, increasing to $35.30 p/h after 26 weeks

Joining our Selection Operation team you’ll take accountability for picking orders that are sent to our stores across Aotearoa to ensure they are fully stocked for our customers, by using:

• Motorised Pallet truck operation
• Voice Picking and stacking stock
• Safety techniques and behaviours
  

To succeed in this role you will need to have strong communication skills, be safety conscious, physically fit, and reliable. You’ll have excellent attention to detail when it comes to order accuracy, have a willing attitude and be self motivated.

You will need the right to work in New Zealand and be happy to complete a background check, ACC pre employment report and drug & medical assessment as part of the recruitment process.
