Job summary

IFGlobal is seeking a Warehouse Operative for its Christchurch, New Zealand operation. You will pick, pack and dispatch customer orders using handheld technology, manage stock levels and support a fast-paced Operations team.

This role is part of a fixed-term Christmas peak expansion with 8-hour shifts and opportunities for both full-time and part-time engagement. Attractive benefits include on-site parking and a supportive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick stock using handheld scanning technology
• Process customer orders efficiently, meeting specific requirements
• Dispatch orders in line with specifications and delivery standards
• Maintain stock accuracy through careful handling and recording
• Follow all company processes, procedures and standards
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, PPE, and equipment operation
• Collaborate with team to achieve operational SLAs

Job description

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be part of our fast-paced Operations team, helping to make sure our customers’ orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across different areas of the warehouse, using our systems and handheld technology to process orders, manage stock and keep everything moving. You’ll work closely with the wider team to hit daily targets, maintain high standards and deliver the level of service our customers expect.

As we head into Christmas, we’re expanding our warehouse team and creating 25 new opportunities on a 3-month fixed-term contract. What you'll do

• Accurately pick stock using the latest handheld scanning technology
• Process customer orders efficiently, ensuring all specific requirements are met
• Dispatch orders in line with agreed specifications and delivery standards
• Maintain high levels of stock accuracy through careful handling and recording
• Adhere to all company processes, procedures, and operational standards
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations, including the correct use of PPE and the safe operation of equipment and machinery
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure operational SLAs are consistently achieved
• Support the team to maintain smooth and efficient warehouse operations
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised working environment
• Carry out any other duties as reasonably assigned

Package
