Job summary

Fern Wave Media Limited is seeking a creative Multimedia Designer to join our team in New Zealand. You will develop engaging multimedia content for client projects, including video production, motion graphics, photography, digital graphics, social media content, and other visuals.

You will collaborate with our creative and account management teams to translate client briefs and brand concepts into high-quality multimedia content, maintaining brand standards and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communication, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant professional experience in multimedia design, digital design, video production, motion graphics, or related creative role.
• Proven ability to create multimedia content for different clients, brands, or commercial projects.
• Practical experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Strong video production and post-production skills, including filming, lighting, sound recording, editing, colour correction, and audio editing.
• Experience creating content for websites, social media platforms, and digital advertising campaigns.
• Understanding of visual composition, typography, colour, branding, storytelling, and digital content formats.
• Ability to interpret client briefs and turn ideas into clear and engaging visual content.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication, collaboration, time-management, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, respond to feedback, and meet deadlines.
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant multimedia, video, animation, photography, or digital design work.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise, design, and produce multimedia content, including promotional videos, motion graphics, infographics, photography, digital advertisements, and social media assets.
• Film and edit promotional videos, short-form content, interviews, tutorials, and other client-facing video materials.
• Create visuals for websites, social media platforms, online advertising campaigns, and mobile apps.
• Work with the creative and account management teams to understand client briefs, target audiences, brand requirements, and project objectives.
• Develop concepts, storyboards, layouts, and production plans for multimedia projects.
• Carry out video production tasks including camera operation, lighting, sound recording, editing, colour correction, and audio editing.
• Produce motion graphics, animations, visual effects, and branded graphic elements for campaigns.
• Maintain consistent visual identity and brand standards across all materials.
• Review and revise creative work based on feedback and internal reviews.
• Manage multiple client projects ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Organise and maintain digital media libraries, project files, raw footage, assets, and final deliverables.
