Job summary

Tourism Holdings Limited (thl) seeks Vehicle Movement Drivers to join the Christchurch Rentals team on a fixed-term full-time basis, handling on-site vehicle movements, supplier runs, and branch logistics.

You will move and park vehicles, perform yard walkarounds, refuel as needed, and collaborate with fleet, workshop, stores, and customer-facing teams to keep operations smooth and efficient.

Qualifications

• Full valid NZ driver's licence required.
• Experience in a driver role is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles between branches and yards to support fleet operations.
• Park vehicles in correct locations and maintain a tidy yard.
• Conduct daily vehicle walkarounds and fuel as needed.
• Coordinate movements using Microsoft Teams with other departments.
• Support workshop, stores and customer-facing teams to improve processes.
• Actively participate in team discussions to enhance efficiency.
• Follow health and safety policies and report hazards.

We are looking for a Vehicle Movement Driver in a fixed term full-time capacity, to help with our peak season, providing on-site operational support, including vehicle movements, supplier runs, parts collections, and branch logistics activities within Christchurch.

• Education and Experience:While previous experience in a driver role is desirable, it is not essential. A Full Driver’s license is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Moving vehicles throughout the branch to support fleet, workshop, detailing, and customer service.
• Ensuring vehicles are parked in the correct locations and maintaining an organised, well-presented yard at all times.
• Conducting daily vehicle walkarounds.
• Refuelling vehicles and ensuring they are ready for operational or customer use.
• Monitoring yard and proactively repositioning vehicles to maximise space and efficiency.
• Using Microsoft Teams to coordinate vehicle movements and respond to operational requests from various departments.
• Working collaboratively with fleet, workshop, stores, and customer-facing teams to support daily branch operations.
• Actively participating in team discussions and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

• Complying with all thl Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices, including reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses.
