Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the Vehicle Integration team on Day Shift in New Zealand. You will manage 15+ technicians and leading hands, driving delivery, solving blockers, and ensuring safety and quality on the shop floor.

You will plan workloads over 1–4 weeks, develop staff, and oversee production handoffs from engineering to full-rate production, while upholding standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in a leadership/supervisory role.
• 5+ years in aviation/aerospace manufacturing or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians and leading hands.
• Drive delivery commitments through capacity planning.
• Plan work 1–4 weeks ahead and remove blockers.
• Own quality and conformance to specifications.
• Oversee training plans and certifications for the team.
• Supervise transitions from development to production.
• Enforce SOPs and health & safety standards.
• Track daily metrics: Quality, Delivery, Cost, People.
• Coordinate with support teams to minimize interruptions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
