Combined Freightlines in Fernside, North Canterbury, is seeking an experienced Class 4 Truck Driver for a day shift role. You will handle general freight deliveries, loading and unloading with tail lifts and pallet jacks, and ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Class 4 driver licence.
• Forklift licence required.
• DG endorsement required; DG experience is an advantage.
• Physically able to lift and handle heavy freight.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in general freight is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general freight throughout North Canterbury.
• Load and unload freight using tail lifts and pallet jacks.
• Operate tail lifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism.
• Work Monday to Friday; no weekends.

We're currently looking for an experienced Class 4 Truck Driver to join our team based in Fernside.

The Role

Class 4 Driver - Day Shift:

• Monday to Friday - no weekends
• General freight deliveries throughout North Canterbury
• Loading and unloading freight using tail lifts and pallet jacks
• Physical handling of freight, including lifting, pushing and pulling
  Full-time permanent employment

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• General freight deliveries and handling
• Loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently
• Operating tail lifts and pallet jacks
• Ensuring freight is handled with care and delivered on time
• Maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism

What We’re Looking For

• Current Class 4 driver licence
• Forklift licence required

• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
• Reliable, punctual and dependable
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Previous general freight experience would be an advantage
