Consult Recruitment in Auckland seeks an experienced Transfer Pricing Manager to lead a high-calibre transfer pricing team. You will work across multinational groups and high-growth businesses, delivering practical advice and managing client relationships.

The role offers broad advisory exposure, leadership responsibilities, and international connectivity, with hybrid working across office, client sites, and home. A strong candidate will have 5 years TP experience and relevant qualifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years of transfer pricing experience within a professional services environment.
• A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing transfer pricing engagements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and senior stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with a high level of initiative.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking transfer pricing studies and analyses to meet international obligations.
• Providing advice across multi-jurisdictional transfer pricing matters.
• Managing client relationships and responding to queries.
• Meeting with clients to understand businesses, TP requirements and risk exposures.
• Assisting with tax authority disputes and APA applications, including submissions.
• Managing engagement costs toward profitability and team objectives.
• Project managing TP engagements from start to delivery and training junior staff.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of internal systems.

Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Transfer Pricing Manager to join a leading professional services firm in Auckland.

You’ll join a highly experienced and collaborative transfer pricing team, working with large multinational groups and high-growth businesses across a range of sectors.

Working closely with international and corporate tax specialists in New Zealand and offshore, you’ll be part of an integrated team delivering practical, high-quality outcomes across complex transfer pricing matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 5 years of transfer pricing experience looking for a broad advisory role with strong client exposure, people leadership responsibilities and international connectivity.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Undertaking transfer pricing studies and analyses, helping clients meet their international transfer pricing obligations
• Providing advice across complex multi-jurisdictional transfer pricing matters
• Managing client relationships and responding to client queries effectively and efficiently
• Meeting with clients to understand their businesses, transfer pricing requirements and potential risk exposures
• Assisting with tax authority disputes and Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) applications, including preparing submissions and responses
• Managing engagement costs and working towards profitability and wider team objectives
• Project managing transfer pricing engagements from commencement through to deliveryManaging, training and developing junior team members, including work allocation
• Contributing to continuous improvement of internal systems and processes

About You:

• 5 years of transfer pricing experience within a professional services environment
• A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience managing transfer pricing engagements
