KiwiRail Freight is seeking a Trainee Traction Electrician in Wellington Metros to support maintenance, installation and repair of overhead traction systems and related electrical equipment. You will work under supervision, gain on-the-job training, and develop skills for HV electrical work in a rail environment.

The role requires being a current registered Electrician, a Class 1 driver's licence, and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be a current registered Electrician.

Responsabilités

• Carry out maintenance, installation, restoration and repair of electrical components in high voltage traction substations and 400/230 volt systems.
• Perform inspections, testing and documentation under supervision.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements and rail standards.
