Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Whangārei is seeking a TMP Designer to deliver high-quality Temporary Traffic Management Plans safely and on schedule. You’ll manage the end-to-end TMP process, align with NZGTTM, and collaborate with the wider team to keep projects moving.

The role requires practical problem-solving, attention to detail, and a proactive, team-focused mindset. You’ll work with Rapid TCP, Rapid Plan, and MS Office tools to ensure accurate plans and safe outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) in NZ contexts.
• Ability to interpret project priorities and deliver practical TMPs.
• Comfort with using Rapid TCP software and associated tools.

Responsibilities

• Design TMPs for single and multiple activities in line with project priorities.
• Develop TMPs in accordance with NZGTTM and approved variations or exceptions.
• Use Rapid TCP software to produce accurate, practical traffic management plans.
• Manage the full process from request through to submission and approval.
• Contribute to a safe, quality-focused team environment and support other duties.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Rapid Plan, NZGTTM, My Worksites, and MS Office.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and accuracy.
• Think ahead with a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Maintain a reliable, team-focused attitude and willingness to learn.
• Show respect for others and pride in your work.
