Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children in Rotorua is seeking a Youth Justice Social Worker to join our Intensive Case Management team. You will provide trauma-informed, strengths-based social work services to rangatahi, while collaborating with whānau and a multidisciplinary group to reduce offending and improve life outcomes.

The role requires Full SWRB registration or eligibility, a recognised social work qualification, and a NZ driver's license.

Qualifications

• Full SWRB registration or eligibility to register in the near future.
• A recognised social work qualification.
• A genuine, strengths-based practice approach.
• A full New Zealand driver’s licence (historic convictions may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
• Commitment to working in partnership with whānau.

Responsabilités

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to contribute to a culture of care within a therapeutic environment that is relational, restorative and inclusive.
• Provide social work services that respond to the needs of rangatahi, and promote their safety, wellbeing, and a reduction in offending.
• Support engagement with whānau.
• Complete thorough safety and risk assessments.
• Lead hui with care and confidence.
• Design tailored, strengths-based, and culturally aligned plans.
