Jobbeschreibung

Project Manager - Water - ( Q )

Description
Project Manager

Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. The diverse perspectives of our partners and interested parties drive us to think beyond what's previously been done on critical issues like climate change, digital transformation, and future-proofing our cities and infrastructure.

We are designers, engineers, scientists, project managers, and strategic advisors. We innovate at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships to advance communities everywhere, so that together we can redefine what's possible.

About the role

Stantec's Water team in New Zealand has an impressive portfolio of successful projects that benefit communities nationwide and beyond, with significant contributions to international work. Our water focus covers the management of drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and groundwater as a collective resource. Dams and hydropower are a key focus, driving resilience and renewable energy solutions. Tackling our water challenges is crucial, and our diverse local network includes over 360 water specialists dedicated to innovation.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our busy Water team. We are one of the few Engineering Consultancies in the country with in-house expertise in all disciplines required for water resource management. We can provide a comprehensive array of services encompassing innovative conceptual planning, investigations and feasibility studies, environmental planning, financial, economic and energy modelling, risk assessment, design, procurement, asset management, refurbishment and enhancement.

In addition to providing traditional engineering, design and construction management services, we have experience with complex design-builds, alliancing, programme management, information technology, asset management and business consulting.

In this varied role, you will work closely with our team of experienced engineers, Contracts Managers and project managers to continue our excellent project delivery track record. You will also support bids & proposals to ensure we can effectively deliver what we promise.

What you will bring

You will ideally have 5 years' experience in engineering/build project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure / three waters projects, working within high performing teams, and contributing to the financial success of a business.

As you'll be managing multiple projects concurrently (with varying values), strong organisational and time management skills are essential, alongside sound financial acumen and the ability to prioritise competing demands to meet project deadlines. You'll also bring experience working directly with clients to understand their requirements, clarify project briefs, and deliver outcomes that align with their objectives.

Fostering team performance and being an effective and efficient communicator will be essential to your success in this role. You will have ideally achieved Project Management qualifications or working towards the attainment of a recognised qualification.

What we offer

At Stantec, we take your growth and fulfilment seriously. We're proud to offer many supportive benefits, including:

  • _Professional development and support_
  • + Flexible working arrangements, including purchasing up to an extra four weeks of leave and provision for school term contracts, part-time, and job sharing
  • + Learning and talent development programmes, including global, online, and on-the-job opportunities

  • + Service recognition awards
  • + Mentorship
  • _Wellbeing and connection opportunities_
  • + Health insurance, income continuance insurance, and life insurance
  • + Employee assistance program
  • + Developing Professionals Group, a global network for those with under 10 years of experience
  • + Office Social Club and events
