Job summary

NZ Qualifications Authority invites an Evaluator, TEO Self Review in the System Performance and Capability unit. The role focuses on supporting TEOs to assess effectiveness of qualifications and ensure quality assurance across Aotearoa. Strong communication, analytical thinking and knowledge of NZ education systems are essential.

The role requires an understanding of adult learning, assessment and moderation, and the ability to build trusted adviser relationships across networks.

Qualifications

• Experience in organisational self-improvement and quality management within tertiary education.
• Ability to influence outcomes with a critical friend approach.
• Strong communication and analytical decision-making in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate TEO self-review processes to support quality assurance across NZQA.
• Lead or contribute to capability building and system performance reviews.
• Collaborate with TEOs, TEC, MoE and other agencies for continuous improvement.
• Provide clear, timely reporting and guidance to stakeholders.
