Westpac New Zealand Limited is seeking a Tech People Lead based in Auckland at Takutai Square. You will lead a high‑performing technology people function, guiding talent strategy, workforce planning, recruitment and career development across the tech service group.

You will coach and mentor managers, foster a positive culture aligned to Westpac values, and partner with engineering and product teams to ensure resourcing supports strategic objectives and sustainable delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience managing technical professionals.
• Proven track record leading large teams.
• Experience in end-to-end employee lifecycle management.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills.
• Ability to develop and grow high-performing people with role clarity and talent identification.

Responsibilities

• Lead talent, people strategy and workforce planning across the service group.
• Oversee end-to-end workforce activities including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams, business units and partners to meet resourcing needs.
