The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) in Wellington is looking for a Team Leader Procurement to guide a small team through the full procurement lifecycle. The Corporate Services Group works in close partnership with the wider business to lead, support, and enable the EPA to achieve its strategic intentions and effectively and efficiently deliver its core functions.
There are four key functions within the Corporate Services Group. These are:
This function provides leadership and support across finance, procurement, planning and performance, risk and assurance, and facilities.
This role is based in our Wellington office. While we're happy to consider work-from-home arrangements, this role is not designed for full-time remote working.
As Team Leader Procurement, you will lead a small team and provide expert, practical guidance across the procurement lifecycle. You will support the team and wider organisation with higher-risk or less straightforward procurement matters. You will shape procurement strategy and priorities, improve planning, processes, systems and contract management, and build procurement capability across the EPA. You will apply the Government Procurement Rules pragmatically and proportionately, tailoring procurement approaches to value, risk and complexity. You will lead and develop a collaborative, responsive team that works in partnership with the wider organisation.
You will be an experienced procurement professional with broad expertise across the procurement lifecycle. We are seeking someone who can apply public-sector procurement requirements pragmatically and proportionately, balancing value, risk and complexity while maintaining high standards.

$126,733 - $190,099 per annum (midpoint $158,416).
This is the full salary range. Appointments will likely be made at or below the midpoint of this range, depending on skills and experience. An appointment at the midpoint assumes 100% competency in the role, with the full band covering a range of 80% - 120%.
