Job summary

DOC seeks a Team Lead Management Planning in Ōtautahi Christchurch, with flexible location options. You will lead eight staff, guiding strategic delivery and trusted advice within a dynamic regulatory environment, and you will collaborate with a second Team Lead to deliver planning outcomes across Aotearoa.

The role focuses on enabling teams, prioritising workload, and developing capability while engaging Treaty partners and stakeholders to support conservation planning across the country.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong programme, planning or project leadership experience.
• Ability to understand broad organisational, regulatory and political contexts and provide sound judgement.
• Experience building trusted relationships and influencing across diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of national management planning programmes and priorities.
• Enable your team to work effectively with Treaty partners and iwi engagement.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and internal partners; provide strategic advice.
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, planning tools and processes; manage risks.
