The team also supports health and safety outcomes across New Zealand ports.**Te tūnga | The role**As Team Coordinator, you'll be the operational backbone of the team, providing high-quality coordination, administration and business support. You'll help ensure inspections, audits and compliance activities run smoothly, information is accurately maintained, and managers and inspectors have the support they need to deliver their important work.This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with a range of stakeholders across Maritime NZ while supporting a geographically dispersed team operating throughout New Zealand.What you'll be doing* Coordinating administrative and operational activities for the Maritime Inspections team* Supporting the planning, tracking and documentation of inspections, audits and compliance activities* Maintaining records, databases and business information systems* Preparing reports, dashboards, meeting papers and governance documentation* Managing travel, meetings, correspondence and team logistics* Supporting financial administration, including invoicing, reconciliations and budget tracking* Assisting with onboarding, workforce records and training administration* Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working* Building strong working relationships across Maritime NZ and with external stakeholders**Nōu te rourou | What you bring**You'll be a highly organised coordinator who enjoys bringing structure to complex and fast-moving environments.To be successful, you'll bring:* Experience in a coordination, administration or operational support role* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously* Experience providing support to geographically dispersed teams* Confidence working with systems, records and business processes* Financial administration experience, including invoice processing and expenditure tracking* Advanced Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems* Excellent relationship management and communication skills* Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach* The ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality**Mōu | For you**Maritime NZ recognises and respects te Tiriti o Waitangi and we are committed to working with Māori to build strong, meaningful and enduring relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.We aim to be a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported with a sense of belonging.
