Job summary

Ōtaki College is seeking a motivated mathematics teacher to join our Year 9–13 programme. This full-time, permanent role will commence in Term 1, 2027, with a possibility to teach Year 13 depending on strengths.

The ideal candidate will embrace Te Tiriti o Waitangi, use culturally responsive practice, and contribute to restorative approaches and student wellbeing, while collaborating closely with our maths team.

Qualifications

Due to the retirement of a long serving member of our mathematics department, Ōtaki College is seeking a teacher of mathematics. This full-time, permanent position will commence in Term 1, 2027.

The role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher of mathematics from Year 9 upwards. This could include Year 13, depending on the strengths of the successful applicant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice, alongside a focus on restorative approaches and student well-being. A proven ability to work collaboratively within a team is essential.
