Job summary

Generate Zero in Auckland seeks a sustainability analyst intern to support carbon accounting, emissions reporting, and climate disclosure projects. You will join the sustainability, data, and product teams to validate data and help develop new capability areas including modern slavery risk screening.

The role is a fixed-term, 10-week full-time internship with dates flexible. You must be studying or recently completed in NZ in sustainability or data analytics; SQL/Python and Excel skills are

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and/or Python would be an advantage.
• Comfort with Excel and other Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise clients with carbon accounting and emissions reporting.
• Research and validate emissions factors and sustainability datasets.
• Contribute to carbon accounting methodologies and ESG reporting solutions.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends and improve data quality.
• Collaborate with Sustainability, Data, and Product teams to test new functionality.
